Camstudio, files too big
Me and a friend are about to record videos of our game playing 4 tables, and commenting on each others play.
I have installed and configured camstudio using this guide http://wiki.showmedo.com/index.php/C...ring_CamStudio and i finally got it to work using the microphone whithout delay. The problem is, that the videos i make are gigantic; something like 300MB for 5 minuttes (1600*1200 - 4 tables). They adress the problem with big files in the guide, and i have set the values according to them, still the files are huge; several GB's for half an hour, and i even use lossless compressor as recommended in the guide ?? I have downloaded some videos from Stoxpoker and they are only 300 MB for 30 min+ - that's exactly what i am looking for (and without delay on the microphone). Can anyone help ? |

Re: Camstudio, files too big
"learning" from 2+2 has helped us get our files even smaller, without sacrificing quality. He would probably be willing to help you out if you posted over there.

OK i try that.
But the link is about Camstasia, is that better than camstudio ? I'll try and post it in the other thread. Thanks |

Re: Camstudio, files too big
Camstasia cost 299$ !!!
Are you using that Stox ? Instead of the free Camstudio - is that the only way to get them small ?? |

Re: Camstudio, files too big
Did you try to catch fewer images/second?
But that's right that those camstudio vids are quite big. |

Re: Camstudio, files too big
buy MTH and use the active table function so your active table gets moved to a specified area on the screen. Only record that area, and you still get all your moves recorded (not the auto-folds though), and your files will be at least 1/4th in size (still large though).
This is what I'm doing to analyze my own game, particularly my emotions/consistency/discipline. |
