Default 200NL | [x] I claim to HAS READ.

Villain has been splashing around and i have took a few pots off of him. My question is, if i am going with my read that i am good here, do i want to raise the turn or flat, running the risk of a bad card hitting the river, since i know he can be bluffing/semibluffing with hands with equity that might call a shove to draw (v. thin)

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $602.45
BB: $40.00
UTG: $177.00
MP: $198.85
Hero (CO): $197.05
BTN: $209.00

Reads: Villain has been active and in a lot of pots in the 4 orbits i have been at this table. I have won two pots off him. one by 2 barreling a K turn and other with a cbet. His stats are ~40/22/2 over a few hands.

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players)
2 folds, Hero raises to $8.00, BTN folds, SB calls $7.00, BB folds

Flop: ($18) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $13.00, SB raises to $31.00, Hero calls $18.00

Turn: ($80) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB bets $40.00

Flat and call most rivers; if you're gonna play a big pot with a marginal-ish hand here, at least let him hang himself.

my problem was, A,K, club are all bad rivers for the most part(poss other straight cards), do you think this is few enough bad cards to flat? i guess thats my question in a nutshell. i was pretty torn at the table.

i'd hate a shove here cuz we're way behind if called.

thanks guys.
One other serious question: What if i had ace high here, and felt strongly that it was good, you guys like a shove then, or still flatting?

call turn.

calling flop with ace high is a little too thin.

A high = shove, because you can't stand to call the river. He can def bluff river with something like a whiffed straight draw that picks up a pair; your QT can pick that off, but A high can't.

With your read and turn action, you really have to close your eyes and call ANY river.
A high, i dunno prolly shove. I have called this down with A high and lost to 33 turned into a bluff..
