The District Attorney's office has indicated that the plea offer will remain available to Genarlow Wilson notwithstanding the appeals process.

I just heard on ESPN2's First Take that Wilson is going to be released from jail, the Supreme Court ruled that it was cruel and unusual for him to be in prison. The law was meant to keep adults away from minors not jail consenting minors.

I'm still looking for a link, if someone else could confirm this it'd be cool.

i'm not sure how fully 42% of teh supreme court judges could not think that a 17 year old boy receiving a 10 year sentence without chance of parole for having consensual oral sex with a 15 year old girl is cruel and unusual.
