this one is read dependent... but in most cases yes.... there are certainly some opponents who will bet if checked to here, so inducing a bluff may be better vs these types of opponents

you are aware the board is :

KQ734 with FOUR hearts correcT?

Ahigh is not calling here ever. small pairs may even fold and possibly others, its a tricky spot since the raise may come from a worse hand. if the opponent is very good and can raise enough as a bluff (but not so much as to be a mistake), then checking to let him bluff or check behind is better than bet/calling

i would check and call sometimes, and sometimes i would bet/fold. depends on if the player is crazy or not (obv)

no i didn't realize there were 4 hearts. i don't know why people don't use the [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. when i see no specific suits i assume they are unimportant (and yes i see now that he wrote the words out but still)

but that reminds me of a hand. i tried to bluff a decent player the other day and he called me with A high on a 4 flush board so never say never

ok let's try again.

i would put him on a crappier K or a Q. i don't think he has nothing unless that nothing was A high on the flop, the nut flush draw on the turn, and now the nuts. if we check he probably won't bet a crappier K or a Q. he might check a Q. if we check it looks like a fold is correct but not by a lot. however, i do see some value in a bet. again, i put him on a pair of some sort, AND he open limped on the btn, so it's less likely he'll need to try a desperation bluff. so i'd bet
