Re: Weird spot vs Pearljammer
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] good that you called, but why is 77 the only set he can have? [/ QUOTE ] Cause he'll limp behind the limper with 22/33 almost always. [/ QUOTE ] He could have 999. I'd prolly fold ~80% and call the other ~20%. You're only beating a complete bluff which as others have said, seems unlikely/crazy spewy based on you calling his flop c/r. Looks like he was just willing to get cute to try and stack a one pair hand, just like yours. |

Re: Weird spot vs Pearljammer
I get his line is really weird, but it is lot more likely he is getting tricky with AA than making some elaborate bluff.
I would usually fold the flop. And spite call the turn. |

Re: Weird spot vs Pearljammer
I think he has AA KK 77 here a huge huge part of the time. Yea his line is weird, but at the same time it might confuse someone into stacking off with 88 or something.

Re: Weird spot vs Pearljammer
fold flop, this hand gets so easily dominated on the later streets even if you think you are good now that I hate calling.

Re: Weird spot vs Pearljammer
hi bond,
i am not a player on this level, but i have watched pearljammer's video on pxf and he stridently advocates a few things: 1...extremely tight play early, with a very tight raising range with small blinds 2...pot control if he's raising a limper 5x on level 1 and cr-ing the flop, he probably doesn't have a whiffed AQo QQ+ here..... |

Re: Weird spot vs Pearljammer
I really don't think he's messing around this early, in a multiway pot. I think he has you beat close to 100% of the time.

Re: Weird spot vs Pearljammer
Heart!
I check flop. I also like to mix up checking/betting in PJs spot with overpair/set/overcard type hands in 5-way pots so his play doesn't seem too goofy to me. |

Re: Weird spot vs Pearljammer
I don't think you're ever good on the flop vs. turner
