Something like that + the fold equity was roughly what I had in mind. I was a bit tilted at the moment and calling would obv. be superior looking at it now.

why would you ever shove the flop

[/ QUOTE ]

he didn't, he called

[/ QUOTE ]

whatever, i meant why would he raise. obv the eventual call is correct

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah, well it's close

depends on how "monster" villain's range is... the tighter villain is the less i like it, but it's probably close to neutral

given weak pfr "squeeze" by villain i think a raise is fine by hero on the flop

Has anyone compared NL200 on FTP vs. PS? Looking through the lobbies there seems to be much higher flop percentages on FTP. Comments from anyone who plays both?

I usually don't react visibly in front of the computer but this one made me jump a little in my chair when the chips went the wrong way.

Party Poker, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players

Hero (SB): $400.80
BB: $367.80

Pre-Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB)
UTG folds, CO raises to $8, BTN calls $8, Hero calls $7, BB folds

Flop: ($26) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players)
Hero bets $18, CO folds, BTN calls $18

Turn: ($62) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $42, BTN raises to $120.65 and is All-In, Hero calls $78.65

Results: $303.30 Pot ($2 Rake)
Hero showed 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (a full house, Sevens full of Sixes) and LOST (-$146.65 NET)
BTN showed 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (a straight flush, Ten high) and WON $301.30 (+$154.65 NET)

he bet into two people. he's not folding

we're getting great odds on the call closing the action and can make him make a huge mistake on the turn.
