Re: Buttom two on a scary board
Against a typical opponent, I think you're alright here. I'd expect villain to show you a good Q. I think you were good to slow down, though, since you were out of position.

Re: Buttom two on a scary board
Think the line is good, but I probably would have bet the turn here unless I knew villain would slow down on a river without hitting draws on the turn. If he bets the river u probably have to fold.

Re: Buttom two on a scary board
I'm not sure I like the PFR against a SB with those stats, I'm not taking the blinds often enough.
Other than that, the line looks good. |

Re: Buttom two on a scary board
What a godawful turn card.
I think this is fine. I seriously doubt you're ahead of Villain's range on the turn (basically, we're hoping for AQ, AJ, or AT), so a bet would amount to a bluff, and I have doubts about Villain folding a better two pair often enough to make it worthwhile. If Villain had bet more on the turn, I think you should probably just fold, but 1/2 pot seems like a reasonable price -- the problem of course being that you may be given another decision on the river, so I think the turn is close even for just 1/2 pot. Edit: By the way, when Villain checked the river I would be relieved but would also still be half-expecting to lose to a better hand that fears the straight. |
