Re: 2/4 stud8 6th street
i know 3rd was a bit iffy, but i figured at this table it was slightly +ev and i could get away from it if i needed too.
i'm really interested in 6th though. i think only one person has said to call so far, which i find a little interesting. to everyone who is advocating a raise, what are u doing if it gets 3bet? |

Re: 2/4 stud8 6th street
Yup. Nothing's changed. Cap and plan on catching an ace, trey or four. If you don't and seat 3 shows you an 85-low at showdown, don't have raised 6th in the first place!

Re: 2/4 stud8 6th street
The question asked was a hypothetical *if* there were a 3bet what should be done - that depends on where it came from. *If* the 3bet came from the Q then I'd very likely think I were behind for the low. Q-baby-baby suited is a typical 3rd st. raising hand for someone unskilled in this game - therefore, if the 3bet came from the Q on 6th I'd feel I were drawing at both halves, but not have the low locked up currently. (what other hand could the Q 3bet here? ... not likely doing it with Q's up)
sooo, I just call that 3bet - but cap if it comes from the obvious high hand. |
