Default online stock services

gorillatrades.com, channelingstocks.com, thechartist.com

anyone use these, do they work or are they a scam? worth the cost?

looks pretty fishy to me. if they were that good at picking stocks they wouldn't need a website to make money. they could just be printing money themselves by following their own picks.

I don't know anything about this specific group of service, but your statement is absurdly wrong. A service with a solid track record and a strategy that fits in with your situation can be a good way to go.

Lots of people are excellent stock pickers, but fail to be able to pull the trigger or be able to manage their position psychologically.

The only problem I have with 'stock picking' services is that that's all they do.

A sound investment strategy needs much more than simply what to buy. You need to know how much of your portfolio to invest based on a risk assessment, and under what circumstances you will add to/trim/sell at a loss/sell at a profit, amongst other considerations.

Stock picking is only a small proprtion of a successful strategy, but it is the information most people want - and so most people will sell to you.

A lot of newsletters give you exit points. They also generally provide updates on what to do if the situation changes at the company involved.

Chat-type sites usually include a great deal of training and education.
