This forum exists because I refuse to give up hope. Most posters that encounter it and most mods think it should be flushed.

This is the only forum that I ever post in as a user. You guys helped me buy a gun and bear spray and an airhorn. This is my lounge. But it's existence isn't really justified imo.

I've watched tuq in action. He's my gift to the lounge, not a burden.

Since we have three times the threads that El D forum does, I suppose you have given just as much consideration to flushing the El D vanity forum? Have you been worried that its existence is justified?

When is the El D forum slated to get a mod who doesn't post there and isn't part of the community? Let me guess -- soon?

When would El D be consulted when you gave his forum that "gift"? Let me guess -- he would be?

There is no reason for tuq to be here and nothing in particular he is likely to accomplish here, is there? C'mon man, get real. This just part of the inevitable washing out of the forum.

I really think you are mistaken. I totally do not see it the way you are seeing it. In fact, I see it as the exact opposite. The forum moves slowly. We have some great regulars and some solid threads. But I think that Mat is hoping more people will venture into our little forum with the addition of Tuq. This would be great, wouldn't it? I would love to see a lot more people coming through our doors and starting some fresh new threads and adding content to the ones we already have going.

Tuq is a lot of fun and a very smart guy. I think he can only add to the forum, not take away anything. I always enjoyed reading his posts in OOT. Hell, for months I thought he was actually Jake [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] (j/k Tuq. Do not take offense.)

I always thought the lounge regulars were a very warm and welcoming group. Don't disappoint me guys.

Katy, DB, and I were all consulted about this decision. I, for one, welcome our new "aware" overlo...I mean, I, for one, think tuq is a good poster, and I look forward to his contributions here. Katy summed up my opinion pretty well, esp. her line about the Lounge usually being warm and welcoming.
