You said you move from limit to 6-max NL to Full-ring NL due to experience in major downswing.

How big were those downswing?
And how long does it last before you said it's enough?
Do you think the downswings were due to variance or due to the games become too hard?
Have you experience similar downswing in full-ring NL yet?

And like LearningCurve said, thanks for making comments on microlimit HH discussion. Appreciated!

the limit one was back in April/May 06 somewhere in the 250-300bb range at 5/10

the nl 6max/hu one was ~15 buyins in Jan/Feb this year

a fair amount of variance but I wasn't playing my best

my variance in FR has been pretty tame, 5-6buyin stuff, short-ish breakeven stretches, currently on a 7.5buyin downswing in July

If you experience as big down swing as you did before, will you quit nl full-ring and move onto another game of poker?

Do you think you'll ever get tired of the swing in Poker that you quit the game all together?

maybe, good chance I will be mixing more and more shorthanded back in

in the short term I doubt I'd quit, but I don't know a lot can happen

from the big downswing, well some was just how sick variance can be, and to be very careful when I play HU, as it is fun but also has a much higher tilt-factor for me

obvservation of other players, playing loose-ish for fullring will lead to even normally very tight players taking shots at you, or calling lighter than you would expect if you were unknown, watching the players to keep track of who will mess with you and who sits back and says I'll get AA and get him

key things for me have been responding to strategy threads, getting coached by JoeTall back in my limit days, time away from the game reviewing hands(though I need to do more of this)
