His raise shows a lot of strength and without a read I would just like to get to showdown here, but with that other player in the pot I think you need to 3-bet the turn.

3-betting the turn is actually a very poor play in my opinion.
In general you all need to give more credit to straight combinations since they are so much more likely than other types of hands. AT and T9 are 32 combos here! Not to mention there are other two pair hands that beat yours too. The only hand you're likely to be ahead of on the turn is QJ, and that's a measly 9 combinations. Since he will only cap his best hands (not QJ), you will lose much more on the turn when behind than when you do have him beat. River donk is very bad, too. |
