looking for a quote from Putin on Iraq

After we invaded Iraq Putin released a statement defending bush or more precisely warning homeland security. I don't remember the exact quote but I remember reading it in the moscow times. It was something of the effect of saddam had tried to purchase nukes off of russia for use against the united states. I tried googling for it and I can't seem to find it. I know I'm not crazy because my dad remembers reading a similar statement. Anyone have a link to that exact quote?

Please don't turn this into a "OMG BUSH LIED" thread. I just want that quote.
