Default A8s but got played back...

My image on the table was agressive. stealing, raising and reraising a lot and showed some good hands on a showdown.
BB is cold calling many hands against me and I've been hammering him the whole time. Here he suprised me by playing back... his stats are 39/6.7 with AF postflop of 4.2 over 89 hands.

I had the feeling that he wanted to represent the A on the board but a straightdraw is sure a possibility.

should I just call and reevaluate the river or should I reraise for info. please your toughts.

Call or fold. I think you will face another large bet on any turn card and you'll be making the same decision for more money. Save yourself the time and give him the small pot.

Looking at his stats, he is a loose caller, here he re-raises, I would think hard about folding pre-flop.
What are you hoping to hit if you call? As played Fold.

IMO.

Would anyone have folded this preflop or at least thought about it?

-he's BB

-6.7% PFR

-a tough dicision to make if A flops (+ he's aggressive)

-We seem to be looking for two pair or flush?

...?

I would've, with his PFR under 7%. Does that make me a super-nit?

I like a call pre-flop. Doesn't cost much, and you might as well see what the flop brings you.

With the flop the way it is - you have top pair but with weak kicker and no possibility of a flush - easy fold.

Ok a lot of folding advise and actually it sounds good.
But is there something to say about reraising here for info and fold equity seen my reasonable Tagish image at the table?

If he didn't hit the A he would fold
If he is on a draw I could make it him expensive
If he shoves I simply fold

your toughts please
