My guess would be a 1 game suspension, the LSU game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Knowing Meyer he will probably investigate the situation thorougly and then announce the suspension before the Fla. Atlantic game. Wasn't there a player 2 years ago that was suspended, then allowed to play against LSU and Georgia, then suspended again?

[/ QUOTE ]

Knowing Meyer? Give me a break. It could be a Bobby Bowden whole 1/2 game suspension.

Meyer has 2 people on probation for the whole season this year for off-season offenses.

As for your above situation, that was last year the 1st was a suspension for a few games & then he got kicked off the team.

[/ QUOTE ]

Also, how much is comfortable? I see these games being very close.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't make predictions often, but I think this is going to be a bloodbath.

Tebow hasn't seen a defense this good, and the Gator defense hasn't seen an offense this good.

LSU 42
FLA 14

how much?

[/ QUOTE ]

Heh, doesn't take much to bring out the chest thumpers. How much are you going to lay?

[/ QUOTE ]

Chest thumpers? lol, if you want to make a bet we can, I was just messing with you really.

if fairness....I think most coaches actually should do what AUstiger is suggesting

I mean, the punishment should be for the player, not for the whole team/school/alumni/fans.

It's a tough balancing act, but, if it's only as minor as a 1-game suspension, I'd do it in a game where the impact is likely to be negligible.

Aus isn't suggesting that, he's mocking Meyer for what he did with Marcus Thomas because he got to play vs LSU & UGA.

More on Joiner, maybe not quite as bad:

"Florida senior captain Tony Joiner was arrested early Tuesday for removing his girlfriend's car from the property of Watson's Towing in Gainesville but the property owner is upset he was detained and says the whole thing was a misunderstanding more than a crime.

Stan Forron told Florida Today that Joiner had actually talked to the dispatcher who was working early Tuesday morning and had made arrangements to pick up the car. The employee left to get some food and the gate to the company was left open. Joiner showed up to pay the $76 towing bill, waited for some time and got impatient and decided to go ahead and take the car and worry about the bill later.

But another employee noticed the car being removed and called the police. A worker at Watson's Towing told the Gainesville Police not to charge Joiner, that the company just wanted the money Joiner was supposed to pay."

I was joking about Meyer, but it is pretty funny though if I remember correctly. Here is their schedule. If I'm not mistaken, didn't he play against Tennessee, LSU, Auburn and Georgia and miss all the other games in between?

September 2 Southern Miss W 34-7 1-0 (0-0)
September 9 UCF W 42-0 2-0 (0-0)
September 16 at No. 13 Tennessee W 21-20 3-0 (1-0) CBS
September 23 Kentucky W 26-7 4-0 (2-0)
September 30 Alabama W 28-13 5-0 (3-0) CBS
October 7 No. 9 LSU W 23-10 6-0 (4-0) CBS
October 14 at No. 11 Auburn L 27-17 6-1 (4-1)
October 28 at Georgia W 21-14 7-1 (5-1) CBS
November 4 at Vanderbilt W 25-19 8-1 (6-1)
November 11 South Carolina W 17-16 9-1 (7-1) CBS
November 18 Western Carolina W 62-0 10-1 (7-1)
November 25 at Florida State W 21-14 11-1 (7-1)
December 2 No. 8 Arkansas W 38-28 12-1 (7-1) CBS
January 8 vs No. 2 Ohio State W 41-14 13-1 (7-1) Fox

LOL. Thanks for the generous offer but I already loaded up at 7.5. You want to lay some odds to make it interesting?

I suspect the owner of the company is a Gator backer

not trying to knock Florida...the way of the world everywhere

the father of one of my close friends jumped the fence to get his car back once. She was quite embarrassed.
yeah...not relevant at all, but it was funny
apparently, people commonly think you can just take your car back

Auburn senior hoopster Frank Tolbert got arrested for the same thing last week. I imagine Jeff Lebo will be following how Urban Meyer handles it closely.
