I know we have no real options, I just have no confidence in JD [/ QUOTE ] neither does anyone else in MLB, the man appears to be hated everywhere. still hes the best option on the team for LF (by a WIDE margin) and despite how 'terrible' he was this year he really wasn't. his final line is not a disaster at all. benching him if he goes 1-10 or something would be irrational and retarded. |

[ QUOTE ] All of the sudden JD Drew's season has went from complete bust to mediocre. I hope he continues into the post season and next year. [/ QUOTE ] My fear is that his hot September keeps him in the lineup even if he turns cold again in October. [/ QUOTE ] who cares if he 'turns' cold? hes the best option in RF and in case you didn't notice the guy ended up with an not so terrible final line. granted it wasn't what was expected, but it didn't turn out to be terrible either. |

Re: *official 2007 red sox thread*
The Sox decieded to go with the 8-day series instead of the 7-day one. I don't understand that at all. Vegas Watch and Results Disoriented give the most compelling reasons why I think this is a bad decision. But the general idea is the 8-day schedule helps the Angels more than the Sox and the 7-day schedule hurts the Indians versus Yankees (who you would rather not see in the ALCS).

Also, theoritcally, the extra day helps Beckett/Boston just as much as LA. |

Don Orsillo doing the Rockies/Padres game on TBS? WTF? [/ QUOTE ] I think he's going to be a regular announcer for their playoff coverage (just NL series). Remy has been joking with him about it for awhile. |

Don Orsillo doing the Rockies/Padres game on TBS? WTF? [/ QUOTE ] I still sometimes mistake his voice for Sean McDonough and I did it again today. |
