It gets thrown into mix games now and then. I haven't seen a plain ol' pineapple only game going anywhere in about 4 years.

I asked a dealer about it in AC last week, and he was pretty sure no room in AC had the license to deal it.

Ballys has had it in the past. They would start a list for you, but most nights it won't get anywhere.

Default no, thanks to the wpt and the dumbing down of america

Nowadays the average wpt trained schmuck thinks that hold'em equals poker. Thus everything that used to qualify as poker is now qualified with a "duuuuuuh?". Don't forget the stupid look on their face and the drool on their chin. Ironically, the wpt popularizing poker will inevitably result in most of the players drawn by the wpt going bust and giving up, leaving nothing but no limit hold'em specialists who can't beat the rake due to all the sharks in a game with no minnows. They'll still have that dumb look on their faces tho when you mention any non-holdem games.

Hyatt at Incline Village in North Lake Tahoe spreads 10/20 hi/lo.

In Isleton, in the Sacramento River delta region, a small 3/6 crazy pineapple game breaks out sometimes in one of the two small clubs, but you would never get there by accident and the game itself isn't worth the trip.

I am dubious about these doomsday predictions. People are still playing bj and craps as hopelessly as ever.

[/ QUOTE ]

Five or so years ago my gf (who in those days was referred to as "Hero" in numerous posts describing her 20/40 limit holdem battles on the forum) met up with notorious 2+2ers Dynasty and Clarkmeister among others at another club. Dynasty (my hero for predicting 50 out of 50 electoral votes in the last presidential election) had never seen the Bike and since I was a host/prop there we headed over in search of goofy fun.

So we are at the Bike and now there's a game Dynasty has never played, Crazy Pineapple. We help start a third game and each buy in for like ten racks completely covering our end of the table with an obnoxious amounts of chips. The CP regulars probably thought we were lunatics but Dynasty ends of winning about ten racks ($1000) while Hero turns me into the big fish at the table.

Good, fun game for a change of pace, plays bigger than what you would think.

~ Rick
