Re: 6 max SnG strategy
Raise, check, fold. Rarely call.
Seriously it's not that different from 9max, is it? Actually you might have to push more when under 10bb cause the structure is pretty topheavy. |

Re: 6 max SnG strategy
Tight early, loosen up when the blinds get bigger, become aggressive at the bubble. Good luck.

Re: 6 max SnG strategy
Open up a bit and play a wider range of hands, you'll need to play more post flop or else you'll not have a enough chips to make any moves later.
Contray to what others are saying I think its a lot different than 9 man, but that's just my 2 cents. GL |

Re: 6 max SnG strategy
You don't really need to open up...you'll play more hands just by virtue of the fact that you're in late position far more often in 6max play.

Open up a bit and play a wider range of hands [/ QUOTE ] Totally do not do this. There's no reason not to play the first levels just as tight as you would with nine players. [ QUOTE ] you'll need to play more post flop or else you'll not have a enough chips to make any moves later. [/ QUOTE ] Do not pss your chips away playing too many hands or you won't have enough to etc etc etc is a lot closer to the truth. [ QUOTE ] Contray to what others are saying I think its a lot different than 9 man [/ QUOTE ] It's exactly like 9 man but three guys have been knocked out before you sat down and no one got their chips. You wouldn't suddenly loosen up in that circumstance. The big difference is the bubble. And you will need to adjust your strategy to account for that. |
