AQ flops hard against 2 unknowns
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) Full Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
UTG ($24.25) UTG+1 ($8.30) Hero ($25.25) MP2 ($28.30) MP3 ($29.70) CO ($37.10) Button ($24.40) SB ($38.30) BB ($32.65) Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.1, 3 folds, Button calls $1.10, 1 fold, BB calls $0.85, UTG folds. Flop: ($3.65) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) Final Pot: $3.65 So, I used to play 6-max only but I'm converting to full ring. In 6-max I would probably bet this flop every time just because checking would arouse suspision since I'm c/betting any paired flop all the time. In full ring, in general against unknowns, what would be the best play? |

Re: AQ flops hard against 2 unknowns
Bet. If you bet 88/AK here, you should bet when you hit this flop.
$3 as CDL says, sounds good. |

Re: AQ flops hard against 2 unknowns
Bet the flop. Maybe a bit less then $3, but bet. People love to call down pretty light (66? 99?) in these situations, assuming you are CBetting. No sense checking, as anything they can potentially improve with other then big Aces, will call a bet anyway.

ok thanks
I just have the feeling I'm sometimes playing a bit too agressive in full ring. Would a check/raise on a blank turn be a good idea in this spot to own some floaters? Or just bet/bet/bet? |

[/ QUOTE ] I think a turn c/r would be pretty bad on a board like this. Check calling the turn then c/r the river would be a better line to take if you were planning on checking the turn. Really depends on the opponent, if they're passive you are never going to get money in if you check. |
