Default Westin Casuarina

No poker room, but was wondering if anyone on here has stayed there before. I got a good rate there for the WSOP and it seems like it won't be a pain getting to the Rio. Any feedback would be helpful.

Otherwise I don't recall hearing any bad things about 'em. Decent location for a not-quite-on-the-strip hotel. Right across from Bally's and a trivial walk to Bellagio and Caesars.

I've stayed there before and it is a really nice new room with a great bed, perfect for collapsing upon at 7am. The hotel seemed business like, not exactly party central but that also meant they were quiet.

It is about a 10 minute walk to and from the Strip and is a bit hot at high noon to walk, but definitely doable. I'd stay there again if the prices were right.

I've been in the casino and walked through part of the hotel. It's a very nice property, small but quaint. It seems pretty comfortable and is basically business travelers staying there. You won't deal with a lot of drunk idiots or scam artists here. It's pretty laid back, nice bar just off the entrance (near the lobby) and a small but friendly pit if you want to donk around at some nickle BJ or something some night.

Very nice place to stay.
Food is very good.
Bar is very nice.
Beds are the best in town.
Bus stops right in front so for a $1.25 you can ride to the Rio and not need to hoof it.

Thanks that all sounds really good. I'm definitely looking for a quiet hotel as I don't really care all that much about nightlife. Business-like is just about perfect. Plus it didn't really make sense to pay a ridiculous premium to stay in a strip hotel when there's a brand name hotel much cheaper. FYI, the rate I got there is $75 a night, same for weekend and mid-week.

That's a hellova deal for the weekend and if no has mentioned it yet, the bed is amazing.

I stayed there in December and there was something seriously wrong with the elevators. I repeatedly walked down from my 8th floor room. Comfy beds, though.
