another thing to consider is all the vitamins and electrolytes that would be leached from your system over the course of the week. various heart arrhythmias and other unsavory disorders could occur.

[/ QUOTE ] I bet there are thousands of people who drink that much, or more, every single day. For someone with a basic alcohol tolerance a keg in a week would be a challenge, but totally doable.

LOL [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I've been drinking ~3 nights a week for the past four years of school, and I think I have virtually no chance at this considering that the most beers I've ever drank in a day is in the 15-20 range.

pretty sure my buddy could do this no problem. i ran the idea by him and he's gonna think on it for a few days and let me know if he wants to try it.
standard 15.5 gallon "half barrel" keg. 1 week to do it. anyone want to work the details out for a prop bet? i'll know by sunday if he's into it or not.

I'd say you're unlikely to get anyone to give action on this. Anyone who's willing to take the bet likely can actually do it. This isn't really a matter of if it can be done, it's just that nobody really wants to do it.

This is easily do-able. A keg in a week works out to about 18 pints a day. If you are awake for 16 hours per day (allowing 8 hours of sleep/night) then you are downing 1.12 beers per hour. Given that your metabolism will remove about 1 pint per hour you end the day with about two beers in your system which is easily worked out while you sleep. Drink plenty of water, eat food, and you're good.
