For all you 6max 30/20 players...
I've been playing 25NL 6max for a few months now and am generally pleased with my progress. I'm around 20/10 on my stats, so I play fairly tight and I'm pretty comfortable with my playing style.
With that said, I'm fairly curious how the mind of an average 30/20 player plays the game. Assume unknown opponents, what are your re-raising ranges near late position? What kinds of hands are you playing from early-middle position? What kinds of hands do you cold-call with? How liberally do you defend your BB? What types of hands do you complete from the SB with? I realize all hands are situational, so generalizations will be fine. I'm not looking to completely change how I play the game, but perhaps there's ideas from a more aggressive and looser player that might fit in well with how I approach the way I play. FWIW, I'm asking this sort of question after re-reading matrix's Poob Post - LAG vs TAG post. There was a lot of decent info. in that thread and I was just hoping to expand on that topic a bit. |

This thread could turn out to be really good, or really bad.

Re: For all you 6max 30/20 players...
I think game selection is especially important for a 30/20 style. When you are going to be playing more hands out of position, having more passive opponents is ideal (obviously).
I believe Ray Zee made a post saying something similar about lags. |
