meh tbh i think he's bluffing here very rarely, precisely because of the "if you call turn you gotta call river" logic. once you call the turn he can't really expect you to fold anything. though i guess this applies a lot more if you know that villain is at least a thinking player. vs an unknown i guess you could call and make a note about it

he's probably got it a majority of the time
but you only have to win the hand 28%~ of the time, and i'd say you're going to win the hand more often than that.

maybe its an 8 but he isn't scared of giving you a free card on that board. i would call here and probably lose to TT/77

Hi Rand,

Call call.

This is all sorts of rando BS usually, and only very rarely an 8.

really? what are you putting him on? air ~25%+ of the time? (and i guess something really goofy that we beat to account for the remaining few percent) because i think that needs to be the case in order to call. i lean toward folding. it's so unlikely he's going to try to bluff an unknown off an overpair here, our most likely holding. and hell, we might have filled up on the turn. the board is so dry, our line looks pretty strong. so does his, for that matter. you'd almost have to put him on floating the flop oop and then double barrelling the turn and river without improving (miracle straight or set). kind of an oddly specific set of circumstances imo
