Default Variance: Feeling bad for fellow college students that are busto?

I'm not saying kids that actually play poker, just some friends ive met in these first few weeks at college. Everyone is always complaining about money and I honestly feel somewhat bad about it. Im no baller but im not stressing out about money by any means.

I know there is nothing i can do about it but i was just wondering if any of you have experienced it and what ways can you help out without coming across as a spoiled bitch.

Lately ive been picking up the tab for pizza when were all drunk coming back from a party. That way no one really remembers and we can all have a good time without stressing.

Don't flaunt it. Pick a couple things up extra. You're not their sugar daddy. When they bitch about money say, "No, I don't know what thats like."

You shouldn't feel bad for your busto friends. In college, most kids get money from their parents to cover the expenses for a semester, and it's not your fault if they decide to blow it on beer the very first month. If they're capable of working, be brutally honest and tell them to get a job or shut up. It's the only way.

QFT.

every semester my housemates would ask if i knew when the student loans came through and id just make up some [censored] date or say 'soon i think'. Much better than saying 'what loan?'.
