wherein i get cute with aces

villain is 20/0/3 after a few dozen hands. so basically disregard this. no read on his limp/calling range or postflop style as table has been fairly passive.

i figured i was going to get two streets of value from pocket pairs as it was and this might induce him to turn those and air into bluffs. thus, i can get value from ALL of his range, potentially.

is this too much of a reach without a read?

i dont see why he would raise he turn w/ a pp i dont like readless. I'd fold the turn, i know it's weak but even if he is bluffing i don't think you can profitably call down

ugh, this is the first hand I've read today thats confused me, I sometimes fold the turn, really depends on read though.

I really dislike not betting the flop here, that turn spot is disgusting, yep, you def butchered this hand on the flop.

flop play is EV+. READ ISURAS BLOG AND YOU'D KNOW.

I'd guess you're crushed a lot here; Villain is calling down with a hand like 55. I don't see the point in his turn raise with a smaller pair you're beating.

this isn't a brag; i always post results. i decided right away i was going to try something different with this and see how it turned out.

the board was extremely benign and i figured enough of his range was air (non pocket pairs) that there might be more value in tricking him into bluffing with these than trying to milk a small PP. keep in mind there are exactly four cards in the deck (other than 77) that beat me and zero combos of A2s.
