Demo is working for me. I'm probably going to buy the full version.

So is this real-time swing the way to go?

[/ QUOTE ]

Also, looking for course suggestions. Most of the ones in that top 10 list from the link above I have played on various golf games already.

You can download all the APCD courses you desire. Some of the people are very talented. I suggest a course called Rivendell . It's a really fun course, but fairly difficult because of blind shots. It's worth the download.

Damn, I wonder what's wrong. WHenever I try to load a course, when it gets to the "rendering" part it exits out and I get a nonsensical error message.

Your expert analysis might just solve my problem. Hadn't connected the problems with a message I get when I boot about the game "using the default video settings" and being able to change them. I'll look into it when I get home.

TomE's link is gold. Free downloads, very good reviews on a lot of courses. The vast majority of courses are crap because people didn't put much thought into them, that site helps you find the good ones.

Rivendell - still my favorite course ever. It was based on LOTR, which I never saw. But the course designer spent a painstaking amount of time to create a course which is memorable, fair, and tough. If you're going to d/l any course, start with that one.

As for swing type, it varies and they are all good. I played two click forever so I stayed that way (click and hold to desired power, release, click at the bottom for accuracy). Three click just removes the hold piece, and real-time swing is a TOTALLY different way to go about things that is supposedly hard to master. I never tried it because most of my gaming happened before they came out with that. In fact most of my play is before they redid the sand play, which went from being a fairly straightforward chip-type shot to a completely different formula.

Guess I know what I'll be playing tonite after the kids go to bed. Is the online stuff still functional? Meaning, after I practice for a week can I set up a battle with Tuq?
