Why not work for a while and keep playing poker part time until you save up enough bank to just quit?

If you're seriously making 200/hr though consistently, I see no reason to take the accounting job.

Maybe find a way to work only part time or on a contract basis?

for wanting to be an accountant.. u not very good at teh maths.. $200/hr for 20 hours a week is 200k a year.. so why on earth would you work a $20/hr job for 3 years so you can make 100k a year? Not to mention the wage loss from working for $20 an hour job.
