I haven't played on Party enough recently, however on stars this is a call. If you feel UTG has any understanding of how wide he should be pushing here call.

Probably fold it. You're probably behind hellokitty's range.

[/ QUOTE ]

Obviously we are ahead of utgs range and ahead of the buttons but the button only has two BBs and utg has more and (barely) cover both, so how crushed we are by the buttons range only matters so much... is it enough to fold?

ICM!

I was kidding about ICM cause it was 4 way and a huge pain. But, I did a 3-way calculation assuming the 270 stack never wins.

I have the following ranges:
UTG: 22+,A2s+,A2o+,K2s+,K2o+,Q2s+,Q2o+,J5s+,J6o+,T6s+,T 7o+,95s+,96o+,84s+,86o+,75s+,75o+
Button: 66+,A2s+,A2o+,K6s+,K9o+,Q9s+,QJo,J9s+,JTo

Button might be a bit wide?

Anyway, calling with those ranges is +2.97% $EV.

ps. You now must give me ur AIM so I can pester you about cash hand.

Very strange spot. But, really, it only matters what you think of UTG. Winning the side pot against him will essentially maintain your stack to where it'd be if you fold. If you can scoop the main pot, bonus.

so, I think it's a call against UTGs range.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, if utg is any good it's a call. Probably a call regardless as there's a crap ton of overlay. Calling 1180 to win a bazillion.

Reads? In a vacuum I don't much like calling here, UTG should have some standards since he has to think he's going to get looked up (often in multiple spots) and your chance of scooping the whole pot here seems real slim. Normally the loss of FE for UTG (and for you, if you fold here and don't wake up with a hand in the SB) would be an important consideration, but I think that all goes out the window with this stack situation.

Why does everyone think UTG is super-wide here? Of course it's a snap call if Devin is anywhere close to correct, but I don't think that's the case. UTG is far from cooked if he just folds, and can't seriously expect not to get looked up.

Well, Apathy is probably more qualified since he was there. But IDK, I'd say top 20%. This is just a spot where all the usual assumptions break down, still 9-handed with so many shorties. Of course, whether UTG realizes this, and whether I'm even right about this, are debatable.

I was going to run the numbers with ur ranges...but obv with top 20% it's going to be -$EV.

But, it's wider than top 20%.

I think your range for utg is probably good, maybe the bottom 5-10% of hands you listed would not be included.

The button range is too wide My guess would be somthing like 55+ A8+ K-J+ maybe even tighter.
