I will buy out for no money (as if the bet was cancelled). You have 10 mins to accept this in person.

Im at 240 now.

So is it BBVs opinion that I should go crazy tryng to push out as many as possible now?

I was thinking taking it easier all day would be more succesful?

Since you've done 240 after 5 hours, I think you could get by with a smallball approach. However, if you could do 150 right now and then rest for 3 hours, that's probably easier.

I've done a bet like this before. I don't want to say you can't do it, but by now you're pretty screwed. If your max is 35, I would have structured it like this.
Do 25, take a 3 minute break. Repeat 4 times. Take a 10 minute break. Do this entire set 5 times so you're at 500. After that you're halfway there and have plenty of time to do it. Just knock out 10 or 15 when you feel like it and you're there in no time.
The reason I say you approached it wrong is because you say your muscles are already starting to feel sore. You shouldn't have let it get to that point. Above all else you have to keep in some kind of motion. Don't let yourself go to sleep or completely rest for more than an hour or so, otherwise stiffness sets in and then pain.

At this point, I would say that you're a definite underdog here. To give yourself the best chance, I'd try to have at least 900 done before you have 1 hour left. At that point, the goal will be so close that the pain won't matter. I recommend loosening up your muscles by doing flys with very very light weights. Like if you have adjustable dumbbells, do the motion with just the bar to keep flexibility and blood flow. Failing that, those little pink 1 lb. dumbbells women joggers use.
Above all else, I recommend not sleeping. If you sleep, game over.

you ahve to do as many as possible pretty quick. that doesn't necessarily mean that your sets have to be long (15-25 seems fine) but if you do them and let your arms rest and the lactic acid build uip, your chest and tris are going to flip out nad hurt like hell. granted, lactic acid usually takes 24 to 48 hours, but if oyu sleep it might expedite the process, and allowing that [censored] to ache is going to make you want to kill yourself.

basically, try to eat decently well and keep energy level up.. you should be able to do it, in my opinion. i think i could come close to doing it and i'[m in terrible shape too.

def take the advice of having a bunch done before you sleeep... i'm not even sure, waking up periodically to do some might be a really good idea...

apathy,
I made basically the same bet with durrr...first was 1000 pushups in 28 hrs after he had about 4 drinks for $500. Needless to say i won that bet. He also claims that he will get in amazing shape sometime soon so we bet $1000 that he can do 2000 pushups in 24 hrs by the end of this year. Im a huge nit and i jumped on this bet. I am counting my $$$ now.
