Default commodities: the place to invest for the coming year(s)

what are your thoughts on commodities? i only really know two finance forums, here and kitco.com, and on kitco there are bullish on commodities, which has led to me searching and reading the thoughts of jim rogers. the reason i have particular interest in him is becuase a lot of the pre-recent news articles ive read his predictions have come spot on this year, and clearly has been a very succesful investor since the 1970s or so. Also I liked him saying about himself that he was probably the worst short term investor, and instead backed long term trends. This is exactly what I am looking for in terms of advice to follow. Plus he openly gives his advice one every couple of months.

So, rather than me trying to say what my positions are and asking you to explain whether you agree, disagree, or have no strong opinion, instead if you could comment on jim roger's thoughts (which are basically my positions) i'd be massively appreciative, becuase as with anything, i don't want to blindly follow advice without asking for a more balanced opinion.

basically rogers says:
long commodities, bull run will last another 10-15 years and long china.

for a short reuters article on his thoughts:

sorry i havent been on here more often but 2+2 is banned on the web filters at work !!

thoughts much appreciated

john

yo, ive just re-read my post and it is too rambly and doesnt get to the point.

so basically if you have scrolled down. Jim Rogers has said for quite a while now to get everything out of dollars and into commodities and china. here is a recent reuters article:

http://uk.reuters.com/article/fundsN...32925220071113

agree? disagree? your thoughts much appreciated. i know many on here are anti-dollar, but are you pro commodities, pro china, pro swiss franc, yen and yuan as he is? (basically those are all my positions)

this is not a bump as i only posted it a short while ago but cant edit it and hopefully some will read this rather than rambly 1st post.

gl

Whenever someone says "put all your money into this or that" I stop listening.
