This is pretty much my take on this, but it's really hard to judge as I've never been to any sort of event/party like this before. Going in when there's only 5 min to wait for her is pretty dickish imo though.

The only way I ever go in there without her is if she is late for a pre-arranged meeting time, and is unreachable by phone. She overreacted, but in situations like this it's better to be a little more passive.

It would have been very diplomatic of you to offer her your VIP pass for an hour or so, it seems like she was very interested in going back there. I kinda agree with El D, that when someone invites you to a private party it is neccesary to wait for them if that's what they want, but I don't agree that it was a D-bag thing to do. It's a party FFS, keep the drama at home and just enjoy yourself.

You did nothing wrong really. I mean you didn't act optimally but the girl was obviously a psycho bitch for lack of a better word. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Honestly if I was in your situation and drunk (which I'm guessing you were) I would be far less apologetic than you were.
