Default NL400: Playing AK too passively?

This was a hand against one of the main regulars that I battle with everyday. He's rather nitty 17/13/1.9.
The first raiser is a fish.

Postflop, I decided that a raise on the flop or a bet on the turn was just likely to scare off most hands and there has to be very few cards I'm afraid of. Do you play it any differently?

He insta-bet the river...and this bothered me.

Yeah. I guess I need to get the value from the worse Aces. How much do you bet on the Turn?

My instincts based on this nit's large insta-River bet screamed "I spiked the 8" (...and he did), hence my smooth call.

meh.. read the HH wrong, thought you were CO. I don't really mind your turn check that much as long as you shove river.

C'mon guys.

He's a 1.9 AF, that knows I'm an agro tag. Why on earth would he suddenly bet out on the River like that? Possibly a total bluff - but then he's not calling the shove. It's much more likely that he has me beat if not simply the same hand. He's smart enough (and we've played a billion hands together) that he's much more likely with <= AQ to either make a smaller bet that I might actually call with a worse Ace or he checks to induce a bluff from me.

I'm really more interested in the Turn play here. Do you bet to get value from the worse Aces? And if so, how much? 1/2 pot to make it look kinda float-like? ...or is there more value in checking the Turn and hoping for a bluff on the River....even this is unlikely though given how passive he is...so I'm liking a bet on the Turn and just accepting that all hands worse than top pair are gone anyway.
