Poker Tips?

Somebody asked me this question a few days ago and i couldnt answer them because i basicaly went blank.
What would your answer be?
If you could give me only ONE Poker Tip in less than 30 words what would it be?

im a medium level player but the person who asked me is quite new to the game.

play the player, if he's bad, or you are new: KISS! Read some books, learn the basic strategy. Starting hands etc. Keep playing, and analyzing, and always look to improve.

play very few hands, respect position and opponent's raises.. be realistic about when you're beat

assuming we were talking about limit (it might have said that)

I think he wanted general advice, not advice for STT. An if you're very new to the game and you're not sure what to do it's best to fold!

1-Start playing Small Stakes Fixed Limit.
2-Follow the basic roles of Bankroll Management as if your life depends on it.
3-Read 2+2 Books.
5-Have a lot of fun playing poker.
