my last post about the fed was my first venture to this forum.

there seem to be some smart people here with opposing views to mine and i think it woudl be good to engage in some good (not snippy...sorry about that) discussion.

i think that is tough to do overall since my mom always said, don't discuss religion/politics iwth strangers...nothing good can really come of it

but first, i'd like to see where we all sit...or rather on which side of whatever fence we have...

so please answer with the belief that most closely fits your viewpoint and then feel free to outline your beliefs in more depth since my poll is obviously limited.

1) sorry but i just want to get a sense for who is where on the spectrum...should it be left, middle, right or something else??

2) as i meant it (which could obv be wrong) is fiscally conservative = govt budget should be balanced, govt shouldn't be too big and taxes shouldn't be too high. economically liberal= for the most part, let the market sort things out, BUT one should also allow int'l economic organizations to help out in a pickle to help maintain global stability.

is that not what economically liberal means? is economically conservative the one that means let markets sort things out?

I think it's fair to mix A/C and Libertarian despite some significant differences in the two organizations because I think A/C is just Libertarianism carried out to it's logical extreme, and a Libertarian and A/Cist will generally work in tandem until a Libertarian society is achieved.
