Default A new technological revolution?

About a century ago we had a first technological revolution with the introduction of the machines in place of the human labor. The most simple/repetitive tasks were delegated to the machines. Many people opposed this change. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luddite

Now, we can delegate more tasks to machines. With the appearance of the computers some simple mental tasks can be performed by machines. The tickets are now sold by the computers, there appear automatic cases, there already exists automatic flight systems and automatic subways. In several years there probably would appear computer driven cars.

What is your thoughts about this topic? Has a new technological revolution started?
Will it lead to profound changes in the society, similar to that after the first technological revolution? Would Neo-luddites appear?

The 90's called and they want their topic back.

We have been undergoing the computer revolution for at least 10 years if not longer. The Luddites have already appeared and been absorbed. The question of whether to trust x to a computer has already been decided. Didn't you see War Games?
