Default Why is this not spam, why is this not locked?

spam?

promoting his "company"

I PM'd the mod of O8, MS, and RB about this, but never got a response. I think my inbox was full for a day, but it was clear after I sent the last two PM's.

In sum, this OP posts his link in nearly every thread he posts, and it's a knock-off kind of card runners site where he's on the front page as an LO8 specialist.

What bothers me about this is the following:

OP creates a post in LO8 that is uber LC, in an obvious effort to increase traffic to his own personal site.

OP does not contribute to the forums. He doesn't post hands or offer strat advice.

It appears he created an account on 2p2 simply for free advertising.

I flamed him in the first thread above, and the other regulars in the LO8 forum agreed with me that his post was nothing more than free advertising and spam. He offered no discussion, and seemingly never has.

Why aren't threads like this locked?

BTW, when I saw the thread I hit the 'notify moderator' button, but it said the mod had already been notified, meaning iirc 2 other members had already hit it. It would be nice if someone could chime in as to why this is allowed, or clear out the spam.

edited to add: he sells videos on his site, in case that wasn't clear.

i pm'd the mods/admins 48 hours ago...

i dont have anything negative to say about Felicia Lee, and i hope that my criticism is taken in a constructive manner, but she just isn't very active in the LO8 forum. i PM'd RB a while back with some suggestions for the forum, including a second moderator, but neither of my suggested moderators wanted to assume the co-mod position.

i know it's a relatively low traffic forum, but besides the obvious tasks of modding it i always felt that it could be a better forum with some direction from a mod.

i digress.

All spam needs to succeed is for good men to do nothing.

Well, that and crappy mail transport protocols that didn't have this crap in mind when they were thought up by egg heads who probably saw junk mail as a sign they weren't alone.
