Default PLO8 warm up for WSOP

Just read about the Binion's Tournament series running concurrent with the WSOP. They seem to be doing an event the night before each event that's 10% of the WSOP buyin. I will plan to hit the 4 pm plo8 on the 24th as a warmup, hopefully bankrolling my way into the WSOP event #42. As Harrah's owns Binions, I am surprised there is not better publicity.

They seem to be running a mini-WSOP, a day in front of the WSOP events and each event 10% of the WSOP buyin. I have heard that a lot of B-level pros are using them for practice.

I have also heard that Rio isn't running the WSOP very well and that lots of play is being spread around town.

Is anyone up for a 1/2 or 2/5 PLO8 cash game at Binion's after the tourney?

Now why would I want to blow all the money I make in the tournaments at cash? I suck at cash games, I'm a PLO8 tourney guy. I will definitely be at Binion's, and hopefully at Rio on Monday.

Oh who am I kidding, I'll play it. Something tells me if we can get it going live, it won't be like .50/1 plo8 on full tilt.

It's been running here and there since the first PLO event. One day it was half PLO/PLO8. 1/2 Blinds with $5 forced BI.

Not exactly.

Binion's Horseshoe Casino is expected to reopen April 1, 2004. Harrah's will manage the day to day operations of Binion's Casino, but is selling the casino (for about $20 million) to Speakeasy Gaming of Fremont Inc. which is a subsidiary of West Virginia-based MTR Gaming Group, a company based in West Virginia. Harrah's will keep the rights to the Horseshoe name and MTR will have the right to operate under the name Binion's. Harrah's will also keep the World Series of Poker.

Thanks for the link. It still leaves me confused. Harrahs bought Binions to get the WSOP. On their website, it links to the Horseshoe. Yet on the horseshoe website, it links to another group.

All I want to know is, when I get a cab from Harrah's, where should I tell them to take me? (or how do I get on cheap public transit to old vegas?)
