Default 25NL - AK multi-way facing two all-ins.

Don't really care about UTG since they're so short stacked. Other villain is 20/6/2 over 115 hands. I was in a hand earlier with him where he flopped trip Qs with AQ and let me take the lead until the river, when he made about a 2/3 PSB for value. He was actually showing a tendency to NOT c-bet after raising preflop, so his check here is not that out of the ordinary.

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $45.10
BB: $31.10
UTG: $5.20
MP: $15.00
CO: $24.40
Hero (BTN): $28.30

Preflop: Hero is dealt (6 Players)
UTG calls $0.25, MP raises to $1.00, CO folds, Hero calls $1.00, 2 folds, UTG calls $0.75

Flop: ($3.35) (3 Players)
UTG checks, MP checks, Hero checks

Turn: ($3.35) (3 Players)
UTG checks, MP bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, UTG raises all-in to $4.20, MP raises all-in to $14.00, Hero ???

you have 3 chances to raise and didn't take any of them.

I cant put MP on aces...I think you are splitting/ahead.

You have to raise this preflop. Especially vs. Short stacks.

Bet flop.
Raise turn.

3 bet preflop, c bet the flop, and raise the turn. If you 3 bet preflop it makes the hand a lot easier to play

I will actually call on the button with AK occasionally to avoid this exact situation. I'm trying to avoid building 50 BB pots preflop against middle stacks like this so that my c-bets don't commit me. In this situation, assuming both players call, my c-bet will commit me, because it will be about 2/3 of MP's stack. Even if only MP calls, I'm putting at least a little over half his stack in with my c-bet, and I pretty much have to call if he pushes.

Against a bigger stack, 3-betting here makes sense all the time, because it makes getting the money in with a good flop a lot easier. Here, getting the money in is going to be pretty easy regardless. Am I way off-base here?

Yes, you want to charge them for calling with an inferior hand preflop. With 50BB effective stacks, you are playing for top pair hands. They miss the flop just as often as you do, so raising here + cbetting will get them to fold often enough when you both miss where it's +EV. Add that with the times you hit A or K, and it's even more EV. You have to raise this.

no, but i would probably 3-bet pf and then check behind/fold on a missed flop when i have the button.

as played - i tend not to give much respect to short stacks and call here and probably get shown a set.

What he said. Remember that AK holds most of its strength preflop. By not putting in the raise you're letting a whole host of random hands in cheap to possibly flop a set, straight, big draw etc. against you. Oh and don't feel like you have to go broke if you miss the flop when you raise the AK.

I believe that ashtraybroom is a VERY profitable player. Follow his advice like it was jesus
