I like this a lot.

Pushing turn is probably bad here. If theres one thing that has helped me become a decent SSNL player its realising that people just do not fold big overpairs.

i call these minraises with a wide range.

we have great pot odds
we have position
he has a very narrow range
he will often let us see 5 cards cheaply
he will often let us play a small pot when we are behind and a big pot when we are ahead

this villain actually bet decent amounts in this hand, so credit has to go with him, but in alot of other cases, they trap check the flop, then bet small on other streets for example but will not fold to a massive overbet at any point

also note that in this case i made a mistake by only minraising the turn. i did this because at the time i was worried villain may have AK and thought he would call with AK to a minraise but not a proper raise. if i had raised properly on the turn the river shove would not be an overbet.

but it didn't matter in the end.

i think minlimpreraises are the spot where your implied odds are highest.

i think in the OP my closest decision was the flop, the other streets being alot easier

no, but sometimes on the turn youll pick up some other outs (like here), sometimes hell check and you get a free card, sometimes hell bet too small (cuz thats what fish do), sometimes he doesnt have QQ+ (tho I Guess that can just as easily hurt you as help you). Even if worse case its slightly -EV its not gunna be by a lot. And like someone else in this thread said, whether you call here or not really isnt going to mean much in the long term

Pre-flop is fine but you can definitely fold the flop. He didn't have a full stack to start the hand and I'm not into drawing with small flush draws on paired boards. There are times/boards he won't stack off on, times he boats up, times he has AKs and all this is trimming down on your implied odds. Plus he's firing the turn with pretty much the entire range I'd assign to a bad players LRR - normally for a decent size bet.
