Re: Borgata 10 25
Sorry....I should have been more specific here. Yes. I have had four figure losses but never in this way, and in this short a period of time. But you are corect, I do play a lot less than many people on this board. I am a married guy with kids and a (look away if the J word makes you ill) regular job. I play mostly on weekends a couple of times a month but can easily go 2 months without playing at all. I play online but for much smaller stakes.

Re: Borgata 10 25
I don't think the 10/25 game was particularly tough. Your problem was probably due partly to variance and partly to playing less than optimally due to the stakes and your lack of confidence.
For example, in the QQ hand where you had 50xBB you should probably reraise preflop. I think you have to put the money in on 733 flop 5-way. |

Re: Borgata 10 25
Dealt QQ 2nd to act I call UTG's raise to $125. Five other people call. Flop is 733 and UTG leads out. Sitting here now I cannot tell you wtf was in my mind, but I fold. Every hand I had played so far I had made terrible reads and I didn't want to call down again to see UTG flip over two sevens
On a short stack, this is the flop texture you want to commit your stack to. Preflop you should have committed with this hand, especially short stacked. |
