NL50, I am totally lost on all streets
I was pretty much lost on all streets here so I just called down (<<<<< lol). Since I blow postflop, please help me make sense of this mess on all streets. Should I have raised somewhere? Folded somewhere? This was a few days ago so I can't recall if I had reads, but I usually don't get scared off by flop donks from the blinds if I have been raising them liberally from the button, unless I completely miss the flop.

Re: NL50, I am totally lost on all streets
Do you have stats for the BB?
If he has been defending his BB fairly aggressively, there is no reason to think you are behind on the river. I would shove on the river. I mean what hands beat you Qcx,99,55,K5,K9,QK(you can safely remove AA and AK because of no pre-flop re-raise) If he is playing K5 or K9 that just sucks, But i could see this as easily being Ace, and rag of clubs. I say nice river and push. |

No, he wasn't defending in a way that would make me think he has air. But I open fairly wide from the button, so I am naturally wary of anyone who defends I guess.

Re: NL50, I am totally lost on all streets
I'd fold this on the flop, you have a pretty worthless draw, very little implied odds, only a super donk will pay you off with a worse hand when you hit.
Drawing to the third nut-flush on a three flush board is generally a bad idea IMO unless its very cheap as your setting yourself up to win a small pot or lose a big one. As played, fold the turn. You may have thought you picked up some more "outs" but how can you be confident they are good? As played, fold the river. A worse flush checks almost for sure, and the board pairing was disaster. I think hes value betting 55 here hoping you hit. |
