GCF guy says rather tepidly, “Yeah, I knew”.

I just want to say...

Rick... I'm sure there are plenty of folks who wanted to slow roll you before but didn't and are now thoroughly enjoying this story. KIDDING, kidding.

I will say though Rick that your table selection has gotten quite good over time. This is a type of player I would want at my table.

Rick:

Villain's occupation didn't happen to be "Bubble-wrap salesman," did it?

I think he was checking a Blackberry for a flight time so he might have had a wider range of stock

Well I try to avoid the games that you just left figuring you left for a reason

I always thought I knew who you were, and I was right.

You played a lot at the Bike 80 NL at the end of last year. I used to wear a beanie all the time. Perhaps one day I will introduce my self if I see you, but I am sure you remember me.

You do have a ton of resolve, by the way. Incredible. I can't think of anyone at that casino (man or woman) that would have let that guy stand after that happened.

No, wrong guy, maybe it was Alan Rickman since lots of actors play poker

Anyway, I don't think I ever played the Bike 80 (although one time I played the 40 to socialize with a 2+2er). I do usually end my day by walking around the casino though so you might have seen me around (nothing turns leg muscles to jelly like too much sitting).

The one moment I had in a cardroom was in a limit game where I had a king and the board was A-x-K-K on the turn. I had raised an got called. My opponent checked the river before the card came and I had the requisite number of chips in my hand to bet. I was about to put them down when the river came another Ace. I knew he now had aces full, so I let my hand down with the chips in them and said "check." He insisted that my action was a bet since I broke my stack and came forward with the chips. It was obvious I meant to check.

But by the letter of the law he was right. I said to him," Are you really going to make me bet?" He said yes. I bet, he raised and I folded. I then picked up some more chips and tossed them at him, telling him that kind of move deserved more than just one bet.
