You're probably paying him off here, but most of the time you just call when you are readless.
What was your reasoning in raising the river bet? Did you think it was a blocking bet or or did you think it was a weak attempt at a value bet? |

Raise preflop. You can buy the button and possibly fold out hands like T8. The pot will also be bigger on the flop and the hand is easier to play.
