So I took a boxed cake mix from my house, put it in a brown paper bag, and put her name on it. It was anonymous, so I don't think she ever found out who did it. But she did start crying to the manager and left the cake mix in the back of the store. So naturally, I took the cake mix back home.

In eighth grade there was this kid who my friends and I used to pick on relentlessly.
In English class, a friend and I used to sit by the table where the teacher would keep stacks of books that we were gonna read next/had just read. During class, we'd throw a book or two at the kid every once in a while, and he was too embarrassed at how much we harassed him to tell on us. One day there was one of those big red middle school dictionaries on the table. I threw it at him and he ran out of the room crying. His mom picked him up and he didn't come to school for the next day or two. I didn't get in trouble cause I managed to blame it on some other kid I hated. I still feel really bad about all the [censored] I did to this kid for no reason. It's so weird how natural it seemed at the time.
