Default How do you find out who locked a thread?

Is there a way for me to find out who locked a thread without asking here? Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I don't see it. A thread of mine was locked and I have no idea why.

well check at the bottom of whichever forum you posted it in, it lists all the mods. in most forums there are only one or two mods who are active. often ryan beal and mat sklansky will be listed as mods of a forum but very rarely take action there (they are admins).

Your thread in Sporting Events was most likely locked by MEbenhoe (the Moderator for that forum).

fwiw, the most likely reason for the thread being locked is listed in the 1st reply in that thread.

I'm going on that assumption as well but they are wrong.

What do you mean they are wrong?

There ARE a lot of threads about the BCS situation.
You started another one. It was correct to lock that thread since it's a repeat.

They are wrong. It is not a repeat. I asked a very simple question that isn't posed anywhere else. Who does everyone think is the better team based on what they have seen on the field? All of the other threads are full of arguments about who deserves to go to the title game that don't include who is simply the better team. I think it would be interesting to see how the forum would vote and hear some opinions.

NVM, I guess. It's the only BCS thread in the entire forum that has been locked. Apparently there can be 50 different threads about the BCS, but not 51.
