Default Who\'s better...Michigan or Florida?

Throw aside all of the talk of strength of schedule, SEC vs. Big Ten, "Michigan had their shot%", etc. I don't want to know who you think deserves to play in the title game. I would like your objective opinion based upon what you have seen on the field throughout the course of the season.

I believe Michigan is better than Florida.

Do I believe Michigan should play in the title game instead of Florida? I'm not so sure.

Well, you want an objective opinon, the only correct one is "not enough information". Flordia and michigan have not played each other. On top of that, they have no common opponents (I would have compared total margin of victory against common opponents, but even that is a week way to decide who is better).

So if you want an objective determination of who is better, You would need to do something like total margin of victory of opponents over opponents common oppinents times total margin of victory over those teams. This is a ridiculous way to decide who is better (and woud be pretty much meaningless if it were done), and it is way more work than it is worth, but it is the only way I can think of to distinguish the two teams. If I were to do this I would guess Michigan would be slightly ahead, so my answer is Michigan if I have to choose.

I asked for an objective opinion based on what you have seen on the field. Throw out stats, common opponents, etc. Watch them play football. Who do you think is better?
