Default A little help on two hands...

I feel like I've been playing okay lately, but I ran into these two hands tonight which I I think I could've played better.

Hand one: No reads really. Just sat down.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 9 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $29.35
BB: $35.05
UTG: $90.70
Hero (UTG+1): $49.50
MP1: $52.80
MP2: $44.50
MP3: $45.30
CO: $25.20
BTN: $46.70

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (9 Players)
UTG folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $1.50</font>, 4 folds, BTN calls $1.50, 2 folds

Flop: ($3.75) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $3.00</font>, BTN calls $3.00

Turn: ($9.75) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $6.00</font>, BTN calls $6.00

River: ($21.75) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, <font color="red">BTN bets $21.00</font> Hero???

Hand two. I'm tilting a bit and I think that is obvious to the people at the table. This villian here has been being very aggressive.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 9 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $38.90
BB: $50.00
UTG: $28.15
UTG+1: $37.70
MP1: $48.50
MP2: $84.60
MP3: $46.90
Hero (CO): $59.15
BTN: $69.05

Preflop: Hero is dealt 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (9 Players)
UTG calls $0.50, UTG+1 calls $0.50, 3 folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $2.00</font>, BTN folds, SB calls $1.75, BB folds, UTG calls $1.50, UTG+1 calls $1.50

Flop: ($8.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 Players)
<font color="red">SB bets $8.50</font>, 2 folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $18.00</font>, SB calls $9.50

Turn: ($44.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">SB bets all-in for $18.90</font> Hero???

Should I have made a move on the flop if I believe I'm ahead to avoid this situation??

Thanks for any help on either hand... I'll post results later if people care... not important obviously though.

Hand 1 I check fold turn without a sick read.

Hand 2 I fold the flop of course.

H1: 2nd barrel is read/player dependant. As played the river is fine.
H2: Raise to $3 PF or flat call. Fold to the PSB donk bet.

OK. I folded on the first hand. I think I spewed though because I agree that I should've probably checked folded turn.

The second hand is the worst situation for me because I put him on a flush draw. This was my thinking: He limps... calls UTG... then bets out. I raise. He calls? If he has a king he believes is good... why wouldn't he push here OR check the turn? So I put him on a flush draw.. semi-bluffing the turn after it doesn't hit. I think this sort of thought process is costing me in the long run. What really skews it for me though is I called and my read was right.

The river shows the Qc though and I break my keyboard...

*grunch*
Hand 1: You have to check-fold on the river. I might check this turn too, although that may be a leak with the flush draw on board.

Hand 2: Raise to $3.00 preflop. Fold the flop. Even if the villain has been overly aggressive due to your tilt, he still probably has a hand if he's betting out in a 4-way pot.

did you have a specific read on this guy? if not, i'm not sure how you can just put him on a flush draw when he pots that flop and then pushes when the turn basically blanks. your read happened to be right, but that doesn't mean it wasn't arbitrary.

Hand 1
I sometimes 2nd barrell it and sometimes don't, it would depend on who the villain is. Easy fold on the river.

Hand 2
Just fold the flop, also make it 3 pf.
