NL50 QQ OOP gets 3bet
villian is unknown, I am just a few hands at this table.
My donk bet on the flop is ugly, it makes villian play his hand perfect, but what is a good line here, do we play it for setvalue only without a read? Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $50 Hero: $49.25 CO: $35.50 Button: $44.70 SB: $51 BB: $24.90 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $1.75, CO folds, Button raises to $6, 2 folds, Hero calls. Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($12.75, 2 players) Hero bets $8, Button raises to $36.75, Hero folds. Re: NL50 QQ OOP gets 3bet
I normally c/c flop and c/f turn unimproved, but this might be to weak.

I think a CRAI is ok although you are probably way behind when you are called and therefore turning your hand into a bluff. I think I check and see what he does. If he bets smallish, I might decide to float or just call down and keep the pot small. |

[/ QUOTE ] That is true, but if Villain gives up on the turn UI and doesn't second barrel us, it's the best way to play it. Obviously if you KNOW that Villain will be the turn with ATC this line doesn't make sense, but you don't know that yet at the flop - his turn action gives you more information. [ QUOTE ] If he bets smallish, I might decide to float or just call down and keep the pot small. [/ QUOTE ] How can you keep the pot small? There's already $12 in the pot so with any decent bet-sizing by Villain you end up all-in by the river. If he only bets like $6 on the flop in the pot of $12, that will result in a $24 pot with $38 behind and two streets left. |

Re: NL50 QQ OOP gets 3bet
Yeah, the problem is that these pots start out growing very rapidly and you have to make your decision early. So I think these spots are so difficult vs "unknowns" because frankly you need reads to play these spots well.

Re: NL50 QQ OOP gets 3bet
Fold as played. I might have re-raised pre-flop, if not, I would have ck. raised ai.
Against unknown, this hand is as good as it gets. IMO |

Don't be that guy who donks into the 3-bettor then folds.
