Default $100 NL at Party - JJ vs weird river c/r

Okay, so I'm playing a little NL. Mostly for fun, seems like the Party games has gotten alot more passive after US ban. Anyways, on to the hand, no real reads but villain is 30/0/1.4 after about 100 hands.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB ($366.01)
UTG ($115.55)
UTG+1 ($22.30)
MP1 ($102.75)
MP2 ($76.10)
CO ($154.34)
Hero ($140.45)
SB ($93.70)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
5 folds, Hero raises to $3.5, SB (poster) calls $3, 1 fold.

Flop: ($8) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $6, SB calls $6.

Turn: ($20) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

So I'm checking for pot control here. Unlikely to call a decent bet with a worse hand given the rainbow board. But the board is pretty straight drawy, is a bet better here, you think?

River: ($20) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $12, SB raises to $24, Hummm...

I would probably bet 13-16 on the turn here, folding to a raise obv, then checking behind on most rivers, but probably half-potting a Q,J,2,3,4,5 river for value.

I like betting the turn and checking the river.

As played, call, curse when he shows Q-8 offsuit.

Default Results and some thoughts

Thanks for the comments. I think betting 14ish on the turn is about right. I do believe calling the river is correct. I only need to be ahead about 1 in 6 times for it to be break even, I think this is a weird bluff or a crazy check/raise with A9ish hands often enough for the call to be correct since my hand hand is somewhat under repped.

Edit: Oh yea, I called and he showed AA.

Fold. River CMRR's against passive donks will be a big hand here more often than not.

I'd much rather bet the turn and check the river than check the turn and bet the river.
