sustainable winrates at each level??
After reading the many faqs of the ring boards, I notice that the winrate estimates are definetely not up to date. I would think it should be fair to say that its probaly impossible to attain a 10 PTBB winrate at any level anymore, given we are playing in the post-UIGEA era.
With that said, what would you estimate winrates to be at the following levels??? NL25 NL50 NL200 NL600 NL1000 |

Re: sustainable winrates at each level??
"at any level" is probably a slight exaggeration. i've been teaching a friend to play poker, so i've played and watched the NL5 and NL10 games a bit (my usual game is NL400), and i think for a half decent player (even if playing more or less on autopilot) a winrate of 10-12 bb/100 is very attainable, and i reckon if they really focused and put their mind to it, someone could hit 10 bb/100 at NL25 and maybe even NL50 as well (tho they'd almost certainly make more money playing higher). i had a winrate of about 5 bb/100 at NL200, am quite a bit better now and am certainly not one of the best players at NL400 now, so i suspect winrates of at least 8 bb/100 must be attainable at NL100 and NL200, maybe higher. I'll let people with more extensive experience comment on the higher levels
edit:and this is before taking rakeback or bonuses into account. actual winrates will therefore be higher at all levels |

Re: sustainable winrates at each level??
Not including rakeback or bonuses, I have a winrate of 13 bb/100 for 2007 at NL25/NL50 combined in close to 150k hands. And I know there are better players than me at these levels.

Re: sustainable winrates at each level??
Most people that are good enough to beat NL50 (for instance) for 10+PTBB/100 are not going to be able to stay focussed enough to actually do it because they are almost likely used to playing much higher and the amount of money at play in such a small game is more or less insignificant to them. Re: sustainable winrates at each level??
I cashed out $1100 to buy an HDTV a few months back and that was over 70% my bankroll but I wanted one real bad. I took shots at 100NL every now and then before that...but I was about break even there.
Other than that I started at 10NL with $50 and GRINDED. I just started playing 50NL exclusively about late April and my bankroll is at right about $1000. I want to at least get to $1500 before I start trying 100NL. I also got drunk one night and donked off $600, 60% of my bankroll at the time, playing $400NL (actually got it all in with the best hand, but...) and that set me back big time. I only play for about 3hrs a night 4-5 nights a week. |

I believe top 5% of players at the certain level should have results like that: NL25 12PTBB+/100 NL50 8PTBB+/100 NL200 6PTBB+/100 NL600 4-5PTBB+/100 NL1000 3.5-4PTBB+/100 [/ QUOTE ] |
